ITINERARY
Day 1 - Banavie to Gairlochy 11k
Upon meeting your host in Inverness, you'll drive to Banavie (Fort William) to pack your canoe, meet your fellow adventurers, and enjoy a practice paddle in the canal. From there, you'll head towards Gairlochy to select a secluded campsite and savor delicious cuisine prepared by your guides.

Day 2 - Loch Oich 25k
Resume your journey on the water and paddle the length of the imaginatively named Loch Lochy. Cruise through the Laggan Locks and navigate towards Loch Oich, where you can venture into the wooded bays and search for a peaceful and picturesque camping site.
Day 3 - Loch Ness 24k
Portage your canoe through the lock gates at Cullochy and Kytra, then proceed to the charming village of Fort Augustus. Take a break to resupply before tackling the world-renowned Loch Ness. Locate a secluded area to set up camp and relish a beachside dinner and start the search for old Nessie.
Day 4 - Dores 22k
Today's route and conditions will be influenced by the weather. In the presence of strong winds, the journey can be challenging, with the possibility of encountering sizable waves. Under normal conditions, it's a tranquil and picturesque paddle, offering glimpses of Urqhuart Castle. Following this, you'll look for a suitable place to stay overnight at the top of Loch Ness, then go to the Dores Inn, located nearby, to celebrate your final evening with the rest of the group.
Day 5 - Inverness 22k
Navigate through Loch Dochfour and past picturesque farmland, eventually arriving at Inverness, where your expedition concludes. Unpack your canoe and make your way to the Inverness train station or any other preferred city center location.
